Stretching is a low impact method of exercise, designed to increase flexibility and muscle tone. If you want to improve your physical well being, then stretching combined with deep tissue massage is an excellent way to start!

In order to obtain a full range of movement of any given part of the body the muscles must be able to contract and lengthen on equal proportions. On our normal daily activities we tend to use contraction movements far more then stretching ones. This results in muscle tension, the tissues become fibrotic (knotted) and the joints become stiff loosing the ability to move freely.  One of the most common factors that contribute to this is an ergonomically incorrect work environment, where the person is sitting for a long period of time with poor habitual posture (slouching).  This can weaken and strain muscles causing pain and discomfort.  This is why practicing some form of exercise is extremely beneficial, as it can prevent injuries and provide a sense of well-being.

We recommend that posterior muscles such as the back, hamstrings and calves should be stretched, whilst the core muscles such as the abdominals are to be strengthened.  Our studio offers a cosy space where you will be able to practice some strengthening and stretching exercises before and/or after your treatment

We advise you to bring a change of comfortable clothing so you can practice some of the stretching exercises we may recommend to you.

The areas we cover with our stretching therapies are East London, City of London, and the postcodes E1, EC1, EC2, EC3, and EC4.
